Melynda Joyce East

Melynda Joyce East, 74, of Westminster, Maryland and Deland, Florida passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 at Lindenlea Assisted Living Facility. Born August 29, 1943 in Baltimore, she was the loving wife of 49 years, to the late Charles W. East, who she married on May 26, 1961in Baltimore, Maryland.

Lynn was a graduate of the Milford Mill High School in Baltimore.  She was a homemaker dedicating the entirety of her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She was a very active member of the Westminster High School Owl Band Parents organization, designing flags for the Band Front for many years.  Lynn enjoyed sewing, quilting, antique shopping and music.

Lynn is survived by her daughter Dawn Paxton, of Littlestown Pennsylvania and son Robert and his wife Rachel East, of Deland Florida, her grandchildren McKenna Farquharson, Seth and Kyle Frierson, and Tristan East, and numerous extended family members.

She was predeceased by her son-in-law James C. Paxton.   

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Interment will be private.
