Mina Gertrude (Pittinger) Otto

Mina G. Otto, 94, of Westminster, died Thursday evening, June 15, 2017 at Westminster Healthcare Center.  Born June 25, 1922 in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Pittinger and Minnie Alice Eyler Pittinger.

Survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Howard M. Otto.

Before retiring she worked at Westminster Knit.  She was a Charter Member of the Church of the Open Door, member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a 1939 graduate of Westminster High School.

Besides her husband, she is survived by great niece Sharon Layman and husband Ron of Union Bridge and dear friends Sandy and Norm Miller of Westminster.

The family will receive friends at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, with her pastors Dr. Norris E. Belcher Jr., Dr. John Campbell and Dr. Ray Schutt officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of the Open Door.
