Orville Kight Obituary

Orville Kight, 91, of Horse Shoe Run in Tucker County, West Virginia, died on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Hanover Hall in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Born on August 19, 1928 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Homer A. Kight and Lottie Fike Kight. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Ann Kight.

Before retiring he was an Electrician at Bethlehem Steel. He was a 50-year volunteer with the Mount Grove Volunteer Fire Department in Preston County, West Virginia.

He is survived by daughters Sandra L. Whaley and husband Billy of Westminster, Maryland, and Teresa A. Mallow and husband Norman of West Virginia. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife he was predeceased by 3 children Robert A. and David W. Kight, and Ruthie A. Peterson; 3 sisters Arlene Brandenburg, Norma L. Peterson, and Elma Turek; and brother Trenton Kight.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 3:30 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster. Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. will be officiating.

Interment will be private.
