Raymond Edward McKinney

Raymond Edward McKinney, 83, of Manchester, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Golden Crest Assisted Living.  He was born January 9, 1934 in Westminster, MD.  He was the husband of the late Dorothy Strawsburg McKinney.

Before retiring he worked as a supervisor for Black and Decker.  He was a member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren where he sang in the choir and past member of the Taneytown American Legion.  He served in the Army.  He enjoyed farming, bowling, Orioles baseball and was an avid reader.

He is survived by sons Raymond B. McKinney and wife Denise of Berea, KY and Mark E.A. McKinney and wife Amanda of Manchester, sisters Libby and Catherine, a brother Bill, grandchildren Raymond, Forest, Hunter, Levi and Justine McKinney.

He was predeceased by siblings Bud, Jim, Ted, Louise, Anna May, Vivian and Kitty.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Rd., Westminster, MD 21158, with Pastor Tom Richard officiating.  Friends may call at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.  Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren.
