Rebecca Starr Taylor

Rebecca Starr Gehr Taylor, 71, of Hampstead, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Carroll Hospital.  Born Oct. 24, 1946 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Denton King Gehr and Mildred Shilling Gehr and grew up in Westminster.

She was a substitute teacher for Baltimore County Schools, co-owner of Country Stitchin’s in Reisterstown and later co-owner and operator of Reisterstown Tire.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reisterstown and had belonged to Carroll Racquet Club.

She is survived by her sons Robert Todd Taylor and wife Dawn of Manchester and Christopher Michael Taylor and wife Aimee of Hampstead; grandchildren Nicholas, Zachary and Lauren Taylor, brothers Denton Gehr and wife Patsy of Reno, NV and James Gehr and wife Judy of Manchester; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Anne Gehr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and interment will be private.
