Richard Clair Study, 62, of Westminster, died Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Carroll Hospital. Born Sept. 17, 1956 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of Nancy Leese Study of Westminster and the late Clair William Study. He was the husband of Wendall “Wendy” Reynolds Study, his beloved wife of 42 years.
He graduated from Westminster High School in 1974 and was on the Owls football team. He worked as a salesman for the Westminster Coca Cola Co. for 25 years, and then worked for Star Vending and Interstate Batteries. He was currently the Batteries Sales Manager for Napa in Hunt Valley and was the top salesman in the nation. He enjoyed watching his grandkids sporting events, watching his son coach the Owl football team, hunting and was a member of the Mason Dixon Hunting Club. He was a mentor to a lot of young men.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by son Matthew Study and wife Tara of Westminster; daughter Melinda Astacio and husband Daniel of Tampa, FL; 2 sisters Wanda Weller and husband Abram of Silver Run and Diane Kuhn and husband George of Hanover, PA; 6 grandchildren Hayden, Courtlyn and Brady Study, Joie, Delani and Damin Astacio.
Services and interment will be private.
