Ronald C Mathews

Ronald C. Mathews, 70, of Manchester, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Carroll Hospital Center.  Born April 27, 1948 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Ruth K. (Frye) Mathews and Lyle Mathews.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Linda (Chalk) Mathews.

He retired from Baltimore Federal Financial and was a self-employed painter.  He was a merchant seaman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on automobiles.

Besides his wife, he is survived by sons Ronald C. Mathews, Jr. and wife Patty of Manchester; Michael C. Mathews and fiancé Kayla Petry of Manchester; daughter Augusta D. Wilson, of Pennsylvania; a sister Louise (Mathews) Henry and husband David, a brother Lyle Mathews, grandchildren Yancy, Jamie, Bristol and Michael.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 7:30 p.m.  Interment will be private.
