Rose H. Rivera

Rose H. Rivera, 95, of Westminster, MD died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center. Born August 18, 1922, in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Leanza and Josephine Savoca.

Twice married, her first husband Irving L. Latva died December 13, 1971, and second husband Joseph V. Rivera died September 8, 2006.

Before retiring she was a Registered Nurse.

She is survived by three children, Norman B. Latva (Patty) of Franklinton, NC., Louna S. Primm (Marcus Lee) of Westminster, MD, Carol L. Palmaccio (Dr. Anthony J.) of Malvern, PA., grandchildren Matthew Lee Primm (Elizabeth N.) of Los Angeles, CA., Courtnay L. Linthicum of Greenville, SC., Megan L. Wittenberg of Frederick, MD, Norman B. Latva II (Ashley) of Monroe, NC, Edward L. Latva (Jennifer) of Tampa, FL, Anthony N. Black (Helen) of Malvern, PA, Michael J. Black of Haddonfield, NJ, and John T. Kernan IV, of Olney, MD, and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters Virginia Marchese and Angela Ingrassia.

Private interment was at Meadow Branch Cemetery.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Krug Chapel in Carroll Lutheran Village, with Chaplain Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until services at the Chapel.
