Samuel Franklin Luther, Sr., 92, of Finksburg, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Long View Healthcare Center. Born on April 22, 1927 in Corsicana, Texas, he was the son of the late Robert Luther and Dora Richards Luther. His loving wife Nancy Lee Luther died on May 26, 2019.

Before retiring he was a pipefitter with Local 798. He served in the Navy during WWII and was a member of VFW Post #467, and also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his son Samuel F. Luther, Jr. and wife Vicki of Hudson, FL; one brother Robert “Junior” Luther of Texas; one sister Mary Lambreck of Texas; grandson Samuel F. Luther, III; great-grandson Gage Luther; step-grandson Brooks Wagner and wife Desiare; and step great-grandson Samuel Eugene Wagner.

He was predeceased by a son Charles Edward Luther, and siblings James and Betty Luther.

Services and interment will be private.
