Shirley Elaine (Caple) Clavell Dawson

Shirley Elaine Clavell Dawson, 80, of Taneytown died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Lorien in Taneytown.  Born in Patapsco on January 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Emil A. Caple and E. La Rue Shamer Caple. She was the long time companion of the late Marshall Ellsworth Dawson.

She is survived by her sons Terry Dawson and wife Deb of Taneytown, Allen Dawson of Mt. Airy, John Dutterer and wife Amy of Glen Burnie and 5 grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Anna May Weber, Rose Von Gunten, Betty Munshaur and husband Kenny, Sonja Tracey and brother Larry Caple.

She was predeceased by sisters Eleanor Barnes and June Green.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service; 11:00 a.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main Street, Westminster. Interment will follow at Patapsco Cemetery.
