Vernon Wesley Gardner

Vernon Wesley “Yogi” Gardner, 72, of Finksburg, died Friday, May 26, 2017, at St. Agnes Hospital.  Born May 16, 1945 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Mary Jane Hunt and Charles Wesley “Buck” Gardner.

He most recently worked for Gardner & Son Lawn Care Service and also worked for Acme Grocery Stores and in the HVAC industry.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trains, playing baseball, bowling and working on lawn mowers. 

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Tiffany Gardner of Finksburg, sisters Deborah Watkins and Betty Jo Meshyock, and grandchildren Priscilla and Jayden.  Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother Charles “Ed” Gardner.

Military honors will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10:45 a.m. at the chapel at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
