Aaron Boretos Obituary

Aaron Peter Boretos, 30, of Brunswick MD, passed away in March 25, 2023. He was born December 12, 1992 and raised in Maryland.  Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents Kenneth, Florence Wright, and John Boretos.

Aaron was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was imaginative, creative, adventurous, charismatic, and friendly to everyone. His jokes and humor spread light to everyone around him.

In his younger years, Aaron loved scouts, soccer, and his game-boy. In high school, Aaron loved riding his unicycle, wearing his bell bottoms, and suede vest. He participated in swim team, cross country, drama, show choir, and Mr. Urbana. At Urbana High he was part of the cast of Arsenic and Old Lace, Bye Bye Birdie, The Music Man, and Seussical the Musical. Aaron became the lead anchor for the high school news team, was voted the 2010 Senior Class president, was an active leader in youth church activities, and earned his Eagle Scout Award.

As an adult, Aaron engaged in multiple hobbies, including longboarding, woodworking, photography, water skiing, airboarding, and rock collecting. He enjoyed working on various construction projects and wasn’t afraid to bring out the power tools. Aaron had a love for learning, liked journaling in unique books, and spent a lot of time thinking about the world. One of his best-known adventures was hiking 800 miles on the Appalachian Trail. Using humor and openness, Aaron was able to share his experiences with nursing students and increase their compassion towards those with mental illness.

He is survived by his parents; Julia Hauret, Randal Boretos, and Keith Hauret; his grandmother Nancy Boretos; and his siblings; Jessica Boretos, Heather Boretos, Adam Boretos, and Amanda Chelson; and his beloved nieces and nephews.
