Amy Susan Martin, 65, of Port Charlotte, FL., formerly of Hampstead, MD., died on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Englewood Community Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL., from complications of COVID-19. Born on January 29, 1957 at Gettysburg, PA. Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Russell D. Martin and Madeline Eckert Martin of Westminster. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Scott D. Martin.
She graduated from Westminster High School in 1975. Before retiring, she worked as a Dental Assistant and Receptionist for 42 years. She enjoyed her retired life in Florida, the sunshine, making new friends, dining out, boating, swimming, playing with her golden retriever Tess, and lounging in her pool.
Amy had a smile and a zest for life that could light up a room. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her husband she is survived by three brothers, Robert A. Martin and wife Janet of New Oxford, PA., Joseph B. Martin of Richmond, VA., and Patrick A. Martin of Westminster; and sister-in-law Melanie L. Martin and husband Dennis of Owings Mills. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by their daughter Lauren Ashley.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD. 21157. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7:00 P.M.
