Anna Emily Pearsall, 92, of Finksburg, MD, passed away on Sunday, September 20,
2020, at the Carroll Hospice, Dove House, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born March 31, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, Anna was the daughter of the late Anna (McNamara) Sexton and Elmer E. Sexton. Anna was the loving wife of 48 years to the late Winston N. Pearsall.
Before retiring, she devoted 35 years of her life to the Federal Government working for
the Social Security Administration as an Executive Assistant. She was the recipient of
the Commissioner’s award, Social Security Administration’s highest honor.
A devoted member of All Saints Episcopal Church for more than 40 years, she often served as a volunteer in the church office. Additionally, Anna believed in paying it forward, and as such, she served as a volunteer for Mission of Mercy, and participated in God’s Older Children.
She loved spending time with family and was a passionate Baltimore Orioles fan. She adored her neighbors and close friends of 47 years Robert and Charlotte Palm.
Anna is survived by daughter Barbara A. LaPlante and daughter-in-law Stacey Pearsall. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She was Nana to grandchildren Michael Lermer and wife Barbara, Janet Klein and husband Josh, Kyle Pearsall, Kelsey McKie and husband Sean, great-grandchildren Kahlan Lermer, Anna Lermer, Roman Lermer, Casey Wood, Aubrey Klein, Jack Cooper McKie, Jahsaan Hamilton and Eric Menchaca. She is also survived by a loving sister-in-law, Patricia Graff, and many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by son Howard J. Pearsall.
In a note to her children, Barbara and Howard, Anna said “I had a wonderful life. God Bless.”
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
