Annette Adrienne Robertson Obituary

After a long struggle with dementia, Annette Adrienne Robertson, 91, of both Westminster, MD, and Cape Cod, MA, died on Monday, March 9, 2026, peacefully in her sleep at Sun Valley at the Meadows. Born on February 9, 1935, in New Bedford, MA, to Adrienne Fregeau Levesque and Homer Levesque, both of Canadian descent, Annette was raised in Dennis Port, MA.

Predeceased by her brother, Edgar, and sister, Jeanne, Annette is survived by her brother, Daniel Levesque, and sister-in-law, Jill, of Harwich, as well as sister, Lucille Hathaway Ball, of Florida. Annette was married to her first husband, the late John Norwell McCormick of Harwich, and her second husband, the late Retired Army Major Harold Jesse Robertson, who courted her twice, once before he was stationed in Alaska, then again later in life, when he won her hand in marriage in 2009 and brought her back to his home in Westminster, MD.

Additionally, Annette is survived by her beloved son, Wesley James McCormick, daughter-in-law, Priscilla, of West Yarmouth, and granddaughter, Melissa Morais, of Allston, as well as her step-son, Bruce Robertson, and his partner, Leni Bader, of Eugene, OR. Also, Annette was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews, scattered both on- and off-Cape.

Early in her career, Annette worked in California for the airline industry for such companies as Thompson Aircraft Tire Corporation. In Boston, Annette worked for John Hancock Life Insurance, but her heart belonged on Cape Cod, where she settled with her family and served as Executive Secretary to the President and CEO of Cape Cod Hospital for twenty years.

Her professional shorthand and organizational skills were so impeccable that Annette was always asked to serve as secretary and note-taker for every event in which she participated and any organization in which she was involved.

Annette loved music, and on numerous occasions when she sang in church choirs, listeners described Annette’s singing voice as sounding as enchanting as that of the character Christine from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera.

Annette loved to garden, and everything bloomed around her.

But, most of all, Annette loved her family, especially her son, and it was around them that her life revolved. And nothing, neither distance, nor time, can keep them apart.

A private, informal interment is planned in the Town of Dennis in the near future for close family only.
