Barbara Ann Tankosic

Barbara Ann Tankosic, 68, of Westminster, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022.  Born September 27, 1953 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary E. (Halter) Dutterer and Sterling Bowersox Dutterer. 

 

Barbara graduated from Westminster Sr. High School, Class of 71. She worked at multiple places through her life, retired in 2018 and enjoyed her time at home. She was in a battle with Alzheimer’s disease for the past 3 years. She is survived by her beloved Husband of 49 years, Joseph Tankosic, her daughter Christina Tankosic and husband Ronald Lee Johnson, her son Daniel Tankosic, her grandchildren, Caleb Nelson, Jayden Nelson, Dominick Nelson and Treasure Tankosic, great grandchild, Asher Nelson, and a great grandchild due in 2023. 

 

Sister Mary Lou Bullock and husband David, brothers Thomas Dutterer and wife Joan, Stephen Dutterer and wife Dot, James Dutterer and wife Alice.  She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law Ronald Dutterer and wife Beverly.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Run with Pastor  Sam Chamelin officiating. Social time and Luncheon will follow the Interment in the social hall at St. Mary's United Church of Christ 1441 E Mayberry Rd, Westminster, MD.
