Benjamin Haslup “Ben” Hubbard, 96, of Westminster, died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born June 11, 1924 in Baltimore City, he was the son of the late Sarah M. (Haslup) Hubbard and Luther R. Hubbard. He was the beloved husband of the late Sarah L. (Kern) Hubbard.
Before retiring, he worked 38 years for BGE and served as the Vice President and President of the Employee Association in 1972 and 74. He was a former member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Towson, MD. Ben served in the Navy during World War II.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law William R. “Bill” Hubbard and wife Myra, David K. Hubbard and wife Joanne, and James H. Hubbard and wife Karen, grandchildren Ben, Lisa and Kyle Hubbard, and great-granddaughter Jasmine.
He was predeceased by brothers Charles and Luther Hubbard.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
