Benton Richard Taylor

Benton Richard Taylor, 66, of Catonsville, died on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born on January 30, 1954 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank Taylor and Miriam Burton Taylor.

Benton enjoyed both coaching and watching his 3 sons play baseball, and soccer as well as wrestling for many years. In later years, he was able to enjoy watching his grandchildren participate in those same sports, and even learned a few things about competition dance! He enjoyed reading every Stephen King book published, competing in the family fantasy football league, watching and yelling at every Raven’s game and eating way to many Reese’s cups.

He is survived by three sons, Shane Taylor and wife Julie of Westminster, Shawn Taylor and wife Tiffany of Westminster, and Tim Taylor and wife Kate of White Marsh. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brandon, Madison, Riley, Chase, James, Matthew, and Charlotte.

A short service will be held graveside on Friday, January 15th at 11:00am at Loudon Park Cemetery.
