Betty Caraballo Obituary

Betty Jean Caraballo, 62, of Taneytown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Lorien in Taneytown.  Born October 10, 1959 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte (Cavey) Shamer and William Shamer.  She was the beloved wife of the late Norberto Caraballo.

Betty was a homemaker until she was disabled at a young age. She was a graduate of Westminster High School Class of 1977.  She was best known for her sarcasm, witty sense of humor and adored by many.  She loved her comfort dog “Zippy”. 

She is survived by sons William “Will” Schaeffer and wife Lauren Wilder-Schaeffer of Taneytown and Eric Caraballo of New Windsor; sister Debbie Crunkilton and husband Lenny of New Windsor; grandchildren Paxton Schaeffer and Emma Wilder; nephews Aaron Crunkilton and wife Katie and Adam Crunkilton and wife Samantha. She is also survived by her loving Nurses, Aides and Caretakers at Lorien of Taneytown.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Memorial services will begin at 6:30 p.m. 

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National MS Society, PO Box  No. 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090​.
