Betty Delores Cummings

Betty Delores Cummings, 93, of Westminster, died Friday, July 17, 2026, at Sun Valley Assisted Living.  Born July 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Myrle (Fair) Drechsler and George Drechsler.  She was the wife of Stewart L. Cummings, Sr. who passed away in 2019. 

She is survived by her son, Stewart Lee Cummings, Jr. (Bonnie) of Westminster.

She was the cafeteria manager of Westminster Junior High School.  Betty enjoyed blue grass music, puzzles, visiting with family and friends and attending church.

She was predeceased by grandson Christopher L. Cummings, sister M. Louise Groomes and brothers Bud, Leslie, Herman, Gilbert and Jim Drechsler.

Per Betty’s wishes services and entombment will be private at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Piney Creek Church of the Brethren, 4699 Teeter Rd., Taneytown, MD 21787.
