Betty Ann Smith

Betty Ann Smith, 78, of Westminster, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at BridgingLife Dove House.  Born April 24, 1944 in Mt. Holly Springs, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alma (Lebo) Lay and Raymond Lay.  She was the wife of the late John A. Smith.

She retired as a secretary, was a member of Westminster Baptist Church and graduate of Westminster High School, Class of 1962. She enjoyed watching her grandchildrens' sporting events and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Colts, Ravens, and Orioles. She enjoyed baking, doing crafts, and spending time with family.

She is survived by sons, Phil Smith and wife Paula of Hanover, PA; Russell Smith and wife Diane of Eldersburg; siblings Dorothy  Lay, Ruth Lay Webb, Sam Lay and Cathy Lay, grandchildren Brianna, Tiffani, Allysia, Zachary, Ryan and Madison and 2 great-granddaughters.

She was predeceased by a sister Mabel Lay and brother Jim Lay.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Westminster Baptist Church, 354 Crest Lane, Westminster, MD 21157.
