Obituary

Billy  A.T. McKinney, 86, of Westminster, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the Dove House. Born June 17, 1937 in Westminster, he was the son of the late Frank McKinney and Pauline Stover McKinney.

Before retiring he worked at Lehigh Cement for 35 years. He was an Army Veteran, life member of both the VFW Post 467 and the American Legion Post 120 and a member of the NRA. He enjoyed reading, bird watching, gardening, woodworking and playing pool.

He is survived by his children Larry D. Snyder of Westminster, Kimberly Cook of Westminster, Mark McKinney of Lancaster, PA; step-children Brenda Bellew of Westminster, Linda Thompson of Littlestown, Karen Standifer of Sykesville and Steve Snyder of Westminster and 11 grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his 10 brothers and sisters, his step-daughter Sharon Ringley and his former wife Mae McKinney.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery with military honors.
