Bonnie LaRue Wagner Swartzbaugh, 81, of Westminster, died Monday, January 29, 2024, at BridgingLife Dove House. Born September 3, 1942 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Mary J. (Rickel) Wagner and Aubrey M. Wagner, Sr. She was the beloved wife of James Ray Swartzbaugh Jr.
She worked as a seamstress and was also a homemaker. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and enjoyed family gatherings, the casino and watching the deer and birds.
Besides her husband, she is survived by children James R. Swartzbaugh III (Amy), Michael L. Swartzbaugh (Susan) and Tammy B. Swartzbaugh Mize (Mark), sisters Mary E. Wagner Bender and Linda Wagner Zuck, grandchildren Amanda, Sara, James IV, Tyler and Jaymee, great-grandchildren James C., Oakleigh, Emma, Joseph, and Bayleigh.
She was predeceased by a brother Aubrey M. Wagner, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
