Bruce Eugene Keifer, 67, of Taneytown, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Northwest Hospital. Born June 1, 1959 in Maryland, he was the son of Dorothy Louise Reynolds/Keifer and the late Paul Eugene Keifer. He was the loving husband of 30 years to Susan Mary Keifer.

Bruce was a 1977 graduate of Arlington Baptist High School and graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachalor’s degree in Literature. Before retiring, he worked at Crate and Barrel for 10 years. He enjoyed literature, making post cards for his wife, reading, learning the history of the Civil War, World War and of the Military, music, especially mixed tapes, collecting seagull and lighthouse souvenirs, photography, driving around taking photos of scenery, spending time with his family at the beach in Ocean City and he was an avid Ravens and Steeler’s fan.

Besides his mother and his wife, he is survived by his sons Gregory Michael Keifer (Kristen), Johnathan Daniel Keifer and Steven Paul Keifer (Ruth); sister Paula Baker (Bruce); grandchildren Julian Yingling, Kinley Keifer, Liberty Yingling, Millie Yingling, Navy Yingling, Ayrabella Keifer, Alexandra Keifer and Paul Keifer and his beloved dogs Brady and Negan and cat Spirit.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD. A funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Brown officiating.

Interment will be private.
