Caroline Joyce Brothers passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Carroll Lutheran Village.  She was the wife of Gene L. Brothers to whom she was married for 43 years.  Born December 7,1942 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Louis A. and Elizabeth Genevieve Dardozzi.  

Carol was a 1960 graduate of Seton High School where she was a member of the Drama Club.  After graduation, she later worked at Maryland Cup Corporation and Union National Bank. 

She is survived by her son Matt Bien and spouse Kim, son Luke Bien and spouse Gayle, son Kurt Bien, daughter Angela Bonarrigo and spouse Joe, her 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and the many cousins she cherished.

She was predeceased by her husband Gene, brothers Paul D. and Louis T. Dardozzi and her daughter Carole Brothers Wenck.

Carol's passion was theatre, particularly musical theatre.  She loved to perform, singing and dancing in musicals throughout the Baltimore and Carroll County area.  She taught ballet for several years in Westminster, Md.  She was also very active in several local musical and theater organizations such as September Song, Carroll County Choral Society, and also sang with the St. Mary's UCC Festival Choir.

Nothing was more important to Carol than family.  She was the official family historian and brought her extended family together every year for her annual summer pool parties which will be forever remembered.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 2 - 4 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 254 East Main Street in Westminster, Md.  A service will begin at 3 p.m. with Pastor Sam Chamelin officiating.

Private inurnment will be at a later date at Garrison Forrest Veterans Cemetery.
