Carolyn Lee (Specht) Abrecht

Carolyn Lee Specht Abrecht, 74, of Westminster, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at Brightview Westminster Ridge.

Born December 22, 1947 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late William Clyde Specht and Hilda Irene Stine Specht.  Her husband, Gary Wayne Abrecht died February 21, 2022.

Before retiring she worked for Dr. Dow’s Dental Office in Taneytown as a receptionist.  She loved gardening and Starbucks Frappuccinos.  Her favorite memories were Disney vacations and being with her family.

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kristin and Rob Hughes of Westminster; 4 grandchildren Skyler and Lincoln Thomey; Emma and Owen Hughes; brother-in-law Byron Lee of Libertytown.  She was predeceased by her sister Nancy Lee and brother Dennis Specht.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 12, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD  21157 with Pastor Joe Lettrich officiating.  Interment at Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Taneytown.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m and 6:00-8:00 p.m and Friday at 11:00 a.m. until Service time.
