Charles Frederick Baginski

Charles Frederick Baginski, 89, of Westminster, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Dove House on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Charles was born on June 9, 1934 to Stanley and Stella Baginski in Cleveland, OH.

After Chip graduated from Brecksville High School in 1952, he entered the Airforce and became a radar technician. Following his discharge from the Airforce he worked for Westinghouse and then joined NSA for over 30 years. He married Sandra Keeley in 1959 and have lived in Westminster, Maryland for over 50 years.

Charles and Sandra went on to have two children, Sharon and Curt. In 1994, Chip retired from working as a cryptologist for the National Security Agency and enjoyed spending his time with family, traveling around the country with Sandy, playing softball and he belonged to several gun clubs in the area.

Charles is survived by his sisters Camille Patera of Brunswick, OH, Corene Violante of Cleveland, OH, children Sharon Hoffmann of Abingdon, MD and Curtis Baginski of Hanover, PA, as well as grandsons AJ Baginski and Nicholas Baginski and great-grandchildren Gracie and Nicholas Baginski.

Family will welcome friends on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 5:00 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
