Charles “Chuck” Thomas Fields, 57, of Finksburg, MD passed away from cancer at home on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Born April 12, 1967 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Fay D. Fields of Finksburg, MD and the late Richard F. Fields, Sr.

Chuck graduated from Westminster High School and VoTech as a machinist in 1985, then went to work for Brandt Tool and Die mastering in precision grinding. He then joined the US Army with 8th Infantry and served 3 years in Germany. During his time off from military he skied the German, French and Swiss Alps. After his return to the states he became a master carpenter. Chuck loved sports, hunting (holds MD state record in 1998 for black powder), fishing, skiing and the 2001 Ravens team (went to Superbowl).

Besides his mother, Chuck is survived by a sister, Brenda Fields and a brother Richard Fields, Jr. both of Manchester, MD, two nieces Shelby Fields Gifford of Nevada and Summer Fields of Pennsylvania and a nephew Lacy Fields of North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 and 6 – 7 on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, Maryland. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
