Chintan Arvind Patel

Dr. Chintan Arvind Patel, 44, of Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away on August 9, 2022. He was born to Arvind and Dipti Patel in Ahmedabad, India and moved to Maryland in 1999 to study Computer Science at The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).

He was a beloved husband, son, nephew, brother, uncle, and professor. He is survived by his wife, Uma; his mother, Dipti and countless relatives who will miss him dearly.

Chintan completed his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at UMBC in 2004 and had a very successful and accomplished career in academics, achieving the status of tenure in 2016. Throughout his career, he was a well-respected colleague and mentor and made an everlasting impact on the lives and careers of his students.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service to be held at Fletcher Funeral Home on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
