Clara Lee Thimsen, 85, of Westminster died January 14, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born July 2, 1938, she was the daughter of Dorothy Dannenburg Fischer and Joseph Fischer. Survived by loving husband of 66 years to Arthur R. Thimsen.

Before retiring, she worked at the Carroll County Board of Education, Westminster Duplicating, and worked in retail at Leggett/Belk. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by daughters Cheryl Lynn Nelson (Glenn) of York, PA and Cynthia Lee “Cindy” Henry (Richard) of Thomasville, PA, sister Del Hosto of Staunton, IL, four grandchildren Jessica Wildasin (Josh), Stephen Hemler Jr., Carolyn Bassett (Chris), and Nicholas Henry, and seven great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Landon, Evan, Liam, Leah, Layla, and Mckenzie, and devoted niece Judy Fey. Also survived by other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was predeceased by her son David Arthur Thimsen on May 10, 2018.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM with a memorial service beginning at 10:30 AM with Deacon Don Myers at Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services, 254 East Main St., Westminster, MD 21157.

Private interment will be at Meadow Branch Cemetery, 818 Old Taneytown Rd, Westminster, MD 21158.
