Clyde Hughes

Clyde Hughes, 91, of Hampstead, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the Dove House. Born on September 25, 1927 in Bakersville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Harvey Hughes and Lockey Davis Hughes. He is survived by his wife Mary L. Hughes.

Before retiring he worked as a Log Buyer. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Besides his wife he is survived by four children; Wanda Jones of Hampstead, Rose Edmonson of Sykesville, Kenneth Hughes of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Linda Nelson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister Alma Buchanan; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. at Manchester Baptist Church, 2933 Manchester Baptist Church Road, Manchester, MD 21102. Inurnment will be private.
