Cynthia Kay (Larson) Foley

Cynthia Kay Larson Foley, 66, of Westminster, passed peacefully Saturday, November 19, 2022, at BridgingLife Dove House.  Born October 16, 1956 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Davis) Larson and Gustav Larson.

She was a proud mother and served on the Carroll County Board of Education.   Cindy was fiercely independent with an adventurous spirit, who self-taught herself most of her hobbies including cooking, gardening, sewing, knitting, and all types of crafts. She was most proud of her 4 children, who all graduated college, and raising many wonderful dachshund family members.

She is survived by former husband Mark A. Foley, children Mark A. Foley, Jr., Laura C. Foley and husband Cory Beall, Timothy “Gus” Foley, and Emily H. Foley, a sister Karen Gold and husband Joe, and brother Christopher Larson and husband Barry Hoffman, and her two dachshund best friends Eenie and Meanie and grandpuppy Barley.

She was predeceased by a brother Kevin Larson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Little Paws Dachshund Rescue at littlepawsdr.org or the Dachshund Rescue of North America at drna.org to help Cindy achieve her dream of helping as many rescue dachshunds as she could.
