Dale Leroy Becker, 64, of Taneytown, MD, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Sinai Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born March 27, 1961, he was the son of the late John Louis Becker and Jean Ester Wildasin.

He worked as a ground’s keeper for Carroll County Public Schools for over 20 years. He was a former member of the Taneytown Rod & Gun Club. He loved being outdoors, hunting & fishing with the boys and he loved his dog Jax. To family and friends, he was our gentle giant. He will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle spirit; everyone he met walked away better for knowing him.

He is survived by his children Timothy and Kristin Becker, Kim Becker and Greg Giska; grandchildren Kameron, Nathan, Jacob, Avery, Hannah, Brayden, Ainsley and Savanna; siblings Sandra and Dave Martin, Greg Becker, Eric and Michele Becker; nephews Ryan Becker, Adam Becker, Adam Howe, Brandon Bosley and Brion Dell; nieces Bethany Phipps and Rachel Bosley; best friends Harold Leese, Lee Howe and Leah Kaltrider.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, Maryland with memorial services to begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
