Daniel Lee Bohn, 76, of Westminster, died Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Dove House, while holding the hand of his wife Susan. Born June 25, 1947 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Catherine (Ohm) Bohn and Kenneth L. Bohn. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Susan Bohn.
Before retiring he was employed as the Vice President and Parts Manager for Bohn Pontiac for over 42 years. He later worked as a Courier for Carroll Hospital Center. Danny was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church, Westminster Lion’s Club, where he served as Past President and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones award, life member of the American Legion Carroll Post No. 31, where he served as Past Commander, life member of the VFW Post No. 467 and the Westminster Elks Lodge No. 2277. He also was a volunteer for Carroll Hospice.
Danny served in the Army during Vietnam where he was a combat medic.
Besides his wife, he is survived by Godson Chris Myers, nieces Abby Bohn and Stephanie Stricker (Steve), brothers Larry Bohn (Ronnie) and Steve Bohn (Linda), special family friends Sue Stuller, Heather Fello and family, the Boyer children Alyssa, Brooke, Hannah, Katelyn and Peyton.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Ken Humbert officiating. Graveside services and inurnment will be held with military honors on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Meadow Branch Cemetery Columbarium, 818 Old Taneytown Rd., Westminster, MD 21158.
