Daniel Stewart Frock

Daniel Stewart Frock, 91, of Baugher Road, Westminster, MD, entered into God’s eternal care on July 31, 2023.  Born November 11, 1931, on the family farm at 1362 Baugher Rd, Westminster, MD, he was the son of the late Arthur Shriver Frock and Martha Young Frock.

Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Arrabelle Heffner Frock.

He attended Pleasant Valley and Charles Carroll schools.  He graduated from Westminster High School in 1948.  He served in the U.S. Army and was a life member St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Church where he served as President of the church council, usher and Sunday school teacher.

Before retiring, he worked as an automotive mechanic and driver at W.H. Davis Co, from 1956– 2008. He was also a charter bus driver for Earl E. Smith and Rohrbaugh’s Charter Bus Service, in addition to working on the family farm.  He was a member of the American Legion, Carroll Post #31, the Pleasant Valley Fire Department and loved square, round, and ballroom dancing and old cars.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Katherine A. Crouse and husband, Kerry, of Nashua, NH; and Vincent Stewart Frock of Taneytown; two grandchildren, Kasey H. Crouse and partner, Drew Soncha, of Torrington, CT and Keith H. Crouse and wife, Melissa, of Winchester, MA; four greatgrandchildren, Eleanor, Jack, Alaric and Alexander; two nephews, Norman W. Arbaugh and wife, Darlene, and George E. Arbaugh and wife, Debbie, of Westminster.  He was predeceased by sisters Ellen R. Frock, Isabel J. Arbaugh and brother Kenneth Y. Frock.

The family will receive friends at St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Church, 700 Kriders Cemetery Rd, Westminster, on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 10 – 11 am.  Pleasant Valley Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 11 am, followed by a funeral service with his Pastor, Rev. David Schafer officiating.  Interment with Military Honors at Kriders Church Cemetery , immediately following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Church, for roof repairs.
