Daniel “Dan” Walsh, Sr. age 68 passed away July 24, 2026 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 29, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late John “Jack” and Ruth Walsh.

Dan graduated from Westminster High School in 1976. He was a former volunteer with the Reese Volunteer Fire Department as a fireman and EMT. He was previously a member of the Freestate Corvette Club, a past member of the Westminster and Cambridge Elks and in his younger years competed in road racing with the Sports Car Club of America.

Dan brought his wealth of knowledge about cars and engines to his lengthy career as service manager for several dealerships. There was almost nothing he could take apart and not put back together.

There wasn’t a fish in the bay or the Choptank that didn’t fear the day Dan was on the boat fishing!

Dan is survived by his wife Lisa M. Zipprian-Walsh; sons Daniel C. Walsh, Jr., John Oliver Walsh and their mother Kathy Lowman all of Hampstead, MD; sister Kathy Terry (David) of Millington, MD; brothers John Walsh (Marlene) of Millsboro, Delaware and Brian Walsh (Laura) of Stevensville, MD; and aunt Shirley Powell of Catonsville, MD. he was also known as Pap Pap by his granddaughter. Dan will be missed by many more loving family and friends.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
