Daveda (Davey) Mary Teta, age 85, of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Charlestown Senior Living Community, where she had resided for the past ten years. A former longtime resident of Newark, Delaware, Davey was born on May 26, 1939, in Troy, New York, to the late George E. Foley and Ida Mae (Hennessy) Foley. She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Teta, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

She worked in administrative support at the University of Delaware before retiring. She was a woman of deep faith and a former parishioner of St. John-Holy Angels Church in Newark, DE. In her later years, she was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Angels in Catonsville.

Above all, Davey cherished time spent with her family. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her four children: Peggy Hunter (Ron) of Finksburg, MD; Patrick Teta (Judy) of Westminster, MD; Paul Teta of Frederick, MD; and Kathleen Turner (Will) of Newark, DE. She is also survived by her sister, Bernadette Curran of Troy, NY, as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George E. Foley, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels at Charlestown, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228, with Father Leo J. Larrivee officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. A private interment for family will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware.
