David Laurence Hall

David "Dave" Hall passed away on July 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, service, and generosity that touched countless lives.

Born on April 1, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, Dave was the son of George Frank Hall and Mary June Gudgen Hall. He shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Wanda Barnes Hall.

Dave was the father to Michael R. Hall of Baltimore and Michelle Weisman (Alex) of Porter Ranch, California. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Regina Hall, Colin Weisman, and Caleb Weisman. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Cindy Helms (Charles) of Greensboro, GA. As well as many extended family members and dear friends.

Retirement simply gave Dave new opportunities to serve. As a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, he helped build 47 homes throughout Harford and Carroll Counties. His drive for helping others also led him to volunteer with the Federation of the Blind and Volunteer Medical Engineering (VME), where he designed adaptive devices that improved the lives of children with disabilities.

In 2013, Dave and Wanda made Carroll Lutheran Village their home, quickly becoming active and cherished members of the community. There, Dave earned the nickname of the community's "Fix-It Man." Whether repairing rollators and walkers, troubleshooting phones, fixing computers, or helping a neighbor with whatever needed attention, Dave's answer was almost always "yes." His willingness to lend his time, talents, and gentle spirit made life better for everyone around him.

Dave will be remembered not only for his remarkable engineering skills but also for his unwavering commitment to helping others. He found joy in solving problems, building things that mattered, and making life a little easier for those around him. His legacy lives on in the homes he helped build, the people he served, and the family and friends who were blessed to know him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dave's life at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, Maryland 21158, on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of his life at 2:30 p.m. A private burial will take place at Taylorsville United Methodist Church.
