Debbie Lee (Stouffer) Hill, 63, of New Windsor, died Saturday, November 4, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born June 4, 1960 in Baltimore City, she was the daughter of the late Richard Stouffer and Edith (Nickoles) Stouffer of Union Bridge. She was the beloved wife of Wayne Jackson Hill, her husband of 43 years.
She was employed as a seamstress for English American for 41 years. She graduated from Francis Scott Key High School, class of 1978, where she played volleyball, basketball and softball and won 2 state championships. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Most of all, Debbie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and hosting Thanksgiving for her family.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son Wayne Jackson Hill, II and husband Benjamin Shipley, brothers and sisters Patsy Bauerlien (Roy), Ricky Stouffer (Patty), Karen Bauerlein (Jack), James Stouffer (Sharon), and Michael Stouffer (Kris), sister-in-law Jackie Costley (Filmore), brothers-in-law Raymond “Pete” Hill and Tommy Key, grandchildren Lavender, Marley and Price Hill. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Debbie’s sister Barbara Black, brother-in-law Charles Black III and great-nephew Gage Black passed away with her in the automobile accident.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Darrell Davis officiating. Interment will be private.
