Donald Carl “Mort” Nusbaum, 84, of Union Bridge, died on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Dove House. Born on January 23, 1937 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Harry A. Nusbaum and Ida E. Martin Nusbaum. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Ann “Pat” Nusbaum.

He was a member of the VFW Post #467, the American Legion Post 31, and the Carpenter Union Local #1590. He enjoyed bowling, bingo, hunting, fishing, going to the beach and car shows, and spending time with his family. He was also a NASCAR fan, and especially a fan of Jeff Gordon #24.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon L. Baker and spouse Julia Baker of Taneytown; three grandchildren Michelle Valentine and companion Josh Kline, and Christopher and Daniel Nusbaum; one great-granddaughter Jasmine Butler; and sister Evelyn Wilson of Westminster.

He was predeceased by his son, Stanley Cash Nusbaum; his great-granddaughter Alexis Jones; and seven siblings, Mary Gist, Robert A. Nusbaum, Betty Haines, James Nusbaum, Henry Nusbaum, Dorothy Johnston, and Janet Bookhultz.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 5, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Kathy Duppins Smallwood officiating.
