Donald Wayne Swartzbaugh

Donald Wayne Swartzbaugh, 84, of Westminster, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Born December 3, 1938, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late James Ray Swartzbaugh and Dorothy L. Barber Swartzbaugh. He was the loving husband of 26 years to Connie Jean Swartzbaugh, who passed away in 1986. Donald then married Bonnie Ann Swartzbaugh who passed away in 2021. Donald was a 1957 graduate of Westminster High School. Before retiring, he worked as a plumber for 53 years for Southern Mechanical Inc. Once he retired, he enjoyed gardening, going out to dinner on Friday nights with his family and his monthly breakfast meetings with his high school friends. He is survived by his children Leslie J. Swartzbaugh Brown and David L. Swartzbaugh; grandchildren Connie Brown Davis, Thomas David and Noah Lee Swartzbaugh; great-granddaughter Kynsley Davis; siblings James R. Swartzbaugh, Jr., Beverly Swartzbaugh Kinser and Lewis Swartzbaugh. He was predeceased by his son Donald Wayne Swartzbaugh, Jr. and his brother Kenneth Swartzbaugh. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 5 – 7 p.m. and 10 – 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Gamber.
