Dora Dawn Manning Obituary
Dora Dawn Manning, 52, of New Windsor, MD passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Dove House, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with AML. She was born in Westminster, MD on November 20, 1972 to Kenneth E. Bauerlien and Pat (Woodson) & Gary Staley. She was the devoted wife of Tod S. Manning for almost 35 yrs sharing an unbreakable bond.
Dora held many jobs throughout her career with her most recent being her most favorite. She was a National Director for Tristrux. Dora absolutely loved to cook & bake. She especially loved to bake with Lindsey & Dixielynn, teaching them all her “little secrets” as she called them. She loved trying new recipes or tweaking old ones. She could always be found in her kitchen on the weekend with one of her “helpers”. She loved Christmas more than anyone we have ever known. She found great joy in baking Christmas cookies with her “cookie crew” consisting of her sister Callie (whom she lovingly referred to as her “Pootie”), her niece Legacy, her cousin Bo, her Aunt Karen, her daughter-in-law Mariah, & her nieces Dixielynn (whom she lovingly referred to as “Her World”) & Lindsey. One of her many fondest memories was cooking Christmas dinners for the church with her mother-in-law Linda Manning. Above all else, Dora loved her family with all of her heart. She truly was one of a kind.
Surviving in addition to her husband & parents is her puppy dog Leo, son & daughter-in-law Stephen & Mariah Manning, sister & brother-in-law Callie & Larry Jennings, brother Jeffrey Bauerlien & family, special nieces & nephews that she was like a second mom to Legacy Jennings, Larry Hunter Jennings & wife Erica, Dixielynn Jennings, Lindsey & her brother Austin, father-in-law & mother-in-law Steve & Linda Manning, brother-in-law & sister-in-law Chris & Leisa Manning & family, sister-in-law & brother-in-law Stephanie & Brian Donnelly & family, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, & extended family, including her work family with her “awesome boss” Katie, her “work son” Ryan, & many others.
She was predeceased by grandparents Andy & Callie Woodson, Thelma & Irvin Bauerlien, step- mother Linda Bauerlien (VanFossen) & former step-father David Utz.
Per her wishes there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the BridgingLife Dove House or Humane Society of Carroll County in her honor.
