Dorothy Jane "Dottie" Freeman, 80, of Westminster, MD, died Saturday, December 7, 2024 at her late daughter (Vicki Feeney) and son-in-law (Bill Feeney)'s home under Bayada Hospice Care. Born December 31, 1943, in St. Agnus Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  She was the daughter of Russell Fillmore Dell and Lillian Bloom. She graduated from Westminster High School in 1961.

Before retiring she was the Carroll County Farm Museum Administrator.  Dottie worked for Carroll County for over 28 years. 

She loved going on road trips with her husband of 59 years, Nelson "Dusty" Freeman and finding diners to enjoy lunch before his death in October of 2023. 

Dottie is survived by two of her three children, Pamela Taylor (Mark) of Vienna, Va, and Michael Freeman of Germantown, MD; four grandchildren, Sean Feeney (Kait); Brendan Feeney; DJ Taylor and Connor Taylor.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Dusty Freeman and loving daughter Vicki Feeney.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at 12 noon with her pastor, Rev. Sam Chamelin officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Silver Run.
