Edward Anthony Eckhardt, 67, of New Windsor, died Friday, November 15, 2024, at BridgingLife Dove House. Born August 31, 1957 in Baltimore City, he was the son of the late Elaine (Pogonski) Smith and Anthony J. Eckhardt. He is survived by his beloved wife of 6 years, Lisa Matthews Eckhardt.
He retired as an engineer and was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He was an avid musician for over 40 years and played with numerous bands in Baltimore. Edward enjoyed traveling.
Besides his wife, he is survived by step-children Richard B. Matthews, Jr., David G. Matthews and Brian Matthews, step-father Dave Smith and mother-in-law Nina Bittrolff.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
