Eleanor Ruth Huber, 92, of Westminster, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at The Terraces. Born July 13, 1933 in Woodbine, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Emory Franklin and Annie Irene Norwood Franklin. She was the beloved wife of the late John William Huber, Sr.

Before retiring, she worked at Black & Decker assembling tools. She was a Lifetime member of the Moose Lodge 1381. Eleanor enjoyed going on bus trips, gardening, working in her yard and going dancing at the Moose.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Ann Huber-Schaeffer and her husband Noah Schaeffer; sisters Gladys Mae Huber and Vera Marie McCusker and her husband Denny; grandchildren Heather Nicole Smith and Craig Knight, Zach Ward and his wife Lisa and Lauren Shahan and her husband Lee; 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her children John William Huber, Jr., Walter Clyde Huber and Richard Bruce Huber; siblings Marguerite Harrison and her husband Sterling, Bertha Jenkins and her husband Milton, William Franklin and his wife Betty and Walter “Bud” Franklin, brother-in-law Raymond Huber and grandson Josh Ward.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
