Elio Casalena, 81, of Finksburg, died Thursday, February 6, 2025, at his residence.  Born September 14, 1943 in Palmero, Sicily, he was the son of the late Maria (Notto) and Eliseo Casalena.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Carol Casalena.  

Before retiring he worked for Tom James as a Custom Suit Tailor in Westminster.  He also served as the Vice President of Sales.  In his younger years, Elio enjoyed playing volleyball and the beach.  He attended St. John Catholic Church. 

Besides his wife he is survived by daughter Cristi Casalena-Shelton (Lane) of Finkburg; Lorraine Buckmaster (David) of Fallston; and Maria Terrazas (Reuben) of Clarksburg; siblings Sergio Casalena (Sharon), Renato Casalena, Ezio Casalena (Connie), Paula Tickler and Anthony Casalena (Teri), grandchildren Jackie Silver (Jeremy), Nina Casalena, Taylor Casalena and Alana Casalena.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Prayer services will be held at 1 p.m.  Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
