Elizabeth D. Hill

Libby Hill died as the result of a stroke on October 12, 2023 at Long View Nursing Home, at age 98. Elizabeth was born on February 24, 1925, in Carroll County. She was the third daughter of Belle Irene StrevigDodrer and Joseph Abram Dodrer. She was twice married and widowed. Her first husband was Kenneth IrlFeeser, who died in 1953 at the age of just 26, from cancer. To that marriage, her only child was born, Kenneth IrlFeeser 2nd. Libby raised her son on her own, working at a local clothing factory. Later in life she married Walter “Chick” Hill. They were married until his death in 1988. She was pre-deceased by her son in 2012, and both of her sisters, Mary Dodrer Bloom and Carrie Dodrer Wagner. She is survived by nephews Calvin W Bloom, Carl Bloom and Kenny Bloom, Gary Wagner, and nieces Sharon Bloom Dull and Nancy Wagner Houck, and numerous other family members, including step-son Bill Hill (Dottie) and her care givers, especially Lois Bickerton. She was a lifelong member at Emmanuel “Baust” United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose. Her visitation at Emmanuel “Baust” United Church of Christ will be at 1 pm. Sunday October 15, 2023 with a small service there at 2 pm and burial in the adjoining cemetery, following the service. Memorial contributions, in her name, may be made to the church.
