Faye Marie Taylor

Faye Marie Taylor, 84, of Owings Mills, passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Carroll Hospital Center with family members at her bedside.  She was born June 21, 1939 in San Francisco, CA, she was the daughter of the late Rafaela Valesquez Sanchez (Barajas) and John Sanchez Contreras. 

She was a long time employee at Holsum Bakery in Phoenix, AZ.  Faye was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Columbia. 

She is survived by her children - Michael Craig (Carolyn), Valerie Navarro (Michael), Veronica Craig (Art), Michelle Kemerer (Hannibal “George”), 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 8 siblings - Philip Sanchez, Maryann O’Neil, Tony Contreras, MaryHelen “Nena” Onofre, Rita O’Connell, Rachel Gonzales, Rafaela “Fila” Sala, and Frank “Pancho” Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her sons Kenneth “Kenny” Craig and Charles “Chuck” Craig, her youngest grandson Trent Craig, brothers - Zeno Contreras, John “Jr” Contreras, Benjamin “Benny” Sanchez, and her sisters Jenny “Tuta” Higareda, and Renalda "Randy" Bergess.

Faye was a very strong-willed woman who always spoke her mind. Although she had a feisty exterior, her heart was larger than life. She loved butterflies, playing bingo, and “wrastlin”. But nothing exceeded the love she had for her family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Celebration of Life Services will begin at 12 p.m.
