Frances Lynette Brewer, 83, of Westminster passed peacefully on July 03, 2024.

Born in Hagerstown on June 17, 1941, she was the daughter of late Woodrow and Sarah Resh Spickler. Lynette was the wife of the late Ronald Brewer, her husband of 39 years.

She ran her own business, Interiors by Lynette, prior to working for the Carroll County Government, Bureau of Aging. She retired after 28 years as a Community Service Supervisor, was the Director of Marketing for Summerville Assisted Living and Events Coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce.

Lynette served on multiple boards to include: Carroll Area Transit, Carroll County Arts Council, The Historical Society of Carroll County, Carroll Live on Stage, The Westminster Rescue Mission Trustee and served on the Governors Judicial Nominating Commission under Governor Ehrlich.

She enjoyed singing with Nostalgia, an Andrews Sister Trio, entertained with her former Miss America comedy routine and was involved in local theatre. Lynette was strong in her faith and church involvement- directing plays, teaching Sunday School, and singing in the choir. She had a lifelong love of drawing, decorating, painting and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are daughters Bobbi and Shelli and step-daughter Debbie. Grandchildren Brad, Jenni and Julie Utz, TJ and Maggie Desmond, Jim, Johnny, Derik and Ryan Weishaar. Also, great-grandchildren Tyler, Austin, Cheyenne and Brooke.

The family will receive friends at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, MD. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Ray Shutt officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Cemetery.
