Frank "Richard" Placko

Frank “Richard” Placko, 75, of Westminster, died Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Copper Ridge, Sykesville Maryland.  Born October 12, 1945 in York, PA, he was the son of the late John S. Placko, Sr. and Julia Ann (Chovan) Placko. 

He worked hard on the family farm in his younger years. He was employed by William F. Myers, Almega Manufacturing Corp. and worked various handyman jobs. He was a resident at Copper Ridge where he enjoyed countless hours of interaction with the nursing staff receiving compassionate care and it was said he brought joy to the staff.  Hospice care also shared in offering loving care during his final hours.

He enjoyed Bowling with friends and relatives.  His lifelong friend Bill McClellend were like brothers enjoying stock car and Nascar races together.  He also attended many events at Trailways Speedway with Donna Lewis.

He is survived by siblings John S. Placko, Jr. and wife Judy, Dave Placko and wife Sherri and Michelle (Placko) Cutsail and husband Mark.  Also survived by numerous uncles, cousins, nephews, great nieces, nephews and daughter Amanda. He was predeceased by nephew Clint Cutsail.

He was loved by many and will truly be missed.
